I finally found the password..i've been wanting to blog.

This morning I got mail from the postman.When I tore open the envelope, I found a letter which said

''Wait..'', I thought, "10 years have passed?'' I took a peek at the clock on the wall, whose hands were ticking away in oblivion, as they had, yesterday, the day before yesterday, and they day before the day before yesterday.

How have our lives changed?How have we changed?

Most of us are still studying, some of us are working, some of us are interns; Some of us are overseas, most are here. Some of us are attached, married, got kid. Thank goodness we are all still alive. We have a handful in business and accounting, couple of engineers, doctors, a TCM physician, 2 phychologists, people in political science, geography, chinese history, a lawyer; Someone on wheels, someone behind (or is it in front ) of the cameras, someone analysing the markets, someone working to revert this climate nonsense (thus offering more hope than a change in alphabet) and of course, the unmentioned others.

For those who don't already know, our school as a whole new block called Cho..sth..Kuan Im..sth. block. We have wooden pavillians, and an aquarium, and new kois. In the new block, there is a multi-purpose hall good enough to hold the MBS band's 10?18?20?30?anniversary concert. As I watched the instructor and also conductor weave his baton in the air with oomph and passion..how did he chose to do wat he's doing?You know how you see your teachers as teachers and not as anything else. Now we are going to fill the shoes of these very people..

We must have had out struggles, our joys, our fun, our pain. If i had to string a few words, in chronological order, it would look something like that

Awfully shy, centered, longing, awed, growing, inspired, searching, happy, optimistic, active, success!, haemorrhaging, travelling, tears, shutting out, letting go, wishing & waiting, fulfilled, heartbreak, learning, trying, trying..

This is my wish for the dear all..for those who are lost, i hope you find your purpose; for those who have it going good, i hope you remember to be humbled; for those who can't see past wat's in front of you, i wish you a flexibility in pespective; and above all..optimism, a kind heart, courage and yes, love.

Well it was a great party, for Hopy and for me as well, being able to see long-time primary classmates is always a great thing..

What i guess angel and ting are more concerned about the next event: Eh we discovered sth abt Nip and Yu Ling haha!!!

Heyhey! my very first entry! was feeling a bit guilty about being mia for quite some time :p Realised that i should make more of an effort to keep in contact with you guys. Hello all!yeah!glad i got it..the username's 'robertobaggio200@hotmail.com' with new password hmm '_ _ _ _ _sucks' (we should be able to change it back to m_n_e_ right?)

Anyway!!the long overdue pics from last year!sounds so long ago but actually it's been a few weeks only. It's so good to have our jays outing,to find out who's aged,who's morphed who's NEW..

This time,we got a long-long-long lost jay whom we haven't seen in 8yrs..introducing Dexter Fan Wen Jun:)(except his face is blocked here).Thanks to Ngee poo for finding him via army email!For those who had trouble recognising him, it's because he's elongated and wears specs and nothing like the shorter,yellow house guy as we remember..our memory clock can start running again.ok Dexter, i'll leave it to you go fill in the 8-yrs gap.

AND..starbux/mollie!The jay who finally turns up for a jay outing haha. I think those who haven't seen him agrees he looks the same?except without specs of coz..he is going to study economics at SMU.

Ok, so we had dinner at brewerkz at clarke quay..let's see..hpy,ting,ccy,samuel had sandwiches..dexter had pizza,np and yi meng roast chicken. Shit yingshan and I shared what was supposed to be garlic and herbs pizza but was more like plain pitta;together with a side dish of a couple of asparagus($8+), but they totally killed the asparagus >.<. According to yingshan, it was not the asparagus season..but the point is not to order asparagus. Btw,yingshan is now vegetarian and she's studying environmental engineering down under.

Then we went on to Mind Cafe (Mind,not Minds,mind you) where we had a whole lot of fun and games!haha we seriously played Mind games..Cranium,Smart Ass..Here,i must immortalise ngee poo's rendition of 'Pretty women' and ccy's replication of what he thought ngee poo was trying to hum..i think he even drew a zigzag to show the rhythm or lack of rhythm in np's humming..then there was samuel who unwittingly drew on the table because dexter took away the paper and yes,'shitipedia' or 'shittypedia'..oops dunno the best way to spell it which can actually make wikipedia seem elementary waa=p.During Smart Ass..i think it was ngee poo and dexter who leaped ahead of everyone else. CCY could too actually, except i dunno why he kept throwing a specific combination of the dice that KICKED him back to square 1..the probability of that happening is like 0.0001 or sth. Gel and ting knew all the otherwise unknown TV shows. I was so clueless about all the actors and TV shows..all greek to me (a language which originated from the oldest european country btw).Oh yea, and ccy was the master of identifying country flags just from their colour.haha and at least I learnt a thing or two about Brat pitt (sexiest man alive?)and sean connelly and anger management etc.etc.I returned a smarter girl,but missed my mrt stop on the way yikes.

ok,hope i got most of the events down.Thank you for the fun:) I do hope everyone's had a great start to the new year..how time flies.Ting's already 21!the first among us.We'll be joining u soon ting..can't believe it. Here's to everyone's good health and happiness and the next jays outing!

Heya all! Wow! I had no idea that the blog was resurrected cos the last time I checked the server seemed down. Hailamak! I missed such a happening gathering!!!Summore got an unexpected guest yimeng! Wish I was there but cos got another commitment i couldnt go.

It's very heart warming to see that there is still a handful of people who still want to meet up every now and then even though we have graduated EIGHT years ago..amazing! Actually not bad la, nip..11 people out of 43 aint bad at all..like 1 quarter haha. And the best thing is that none of you guys have changed at all! From the photos..Like preserved in some time capsule hiak hiak, 8 yrs later pop out liao still the same..

Glad to hear that even pple like yimeng have not changed much(looks like the pri sch yrs have impacted him rather deeply until he can remember such random things like pple's handwriting) and that pple who have been mia for quite sometime have emerged again..Eh nip, you really have the talent for digging up "lost" jays leh. That is why you are the main organiser mah. And its really touching to hear about the promise you made with miss siow. i'm sure she'll be very glad to hear we are still meeting up after all these yrs...

Let's continue to keep on running this race yeah, and not giving up on meeting each other for these are one of the things in life we can all hold on to and remember fondly when we look back at our childhood: friends for life!

hey all!
nice to see this blog come alive again =) and it was a great outing! so many amusing things happened,and the highlight of the night certainly was yimeng. kudos to his excellent memory! he can rmb all the dian dian di di of our primary sch life, like the essays, the marks, the handwriting, the invigilators, the PSLE questions and everything. wow.
and nip! u haven't fulfilled the prophecy lo. haha this is somewhat harry-speak, but miss seow entrusted u with that important duty so u must carry it out till the end k! haha. no worries, ccy's gonna help out with organising the next gathering =) thanks guys, and hang on till u ORD! haha. somehow i miss having chalets,night cycling,sunrise watching and playing soccer in the rain. ooh not to forget playing cards,pool and murderer. we shd really do a chronology of events complete with photos and descriptions sometime so that we'll never forget the history of the jays! lol.
i really do love u guys and our gatherings are the most fun! random memory: we sat ard in istana park talking one night rite? and i think we've been to sentosa together twice :)

I really love my class, and how long we can stay together.. i always have a good time at jays gathering.. Saturday was real fun, and believe it or not we caught yi meng in action!!! How to nice to meet someone u least expect juz went we were talking abt him haha..

Well i believe everyone had a great time eating ant chatting.. I promise to plan the next outing k? Any suggestions anyone? I would like to go bowling haha.. But i dunno when the next one will take place but i'll try k?

We just had another great outing!
Anyway,I can't resist pointing out some stuff.haha I noticed that ting was wearing a flowery skirt,jarm was wearing jeans and gel,FBT shorts as I was queueing for satay beehoon. It just struck me as very amusing when 3 of your were wondering ard together,deciding wat to eat.=p hehe
Then wat did we do to yi meng? We disrupted his peaceful stroll,made him take a bus to parkway, and got him to eat a Macflurry!
As for the adidases,one shirt was from Cambodia,another from Vietnam and the last one from Thailand!
We also found out that Yi meng remembers amel's and shiheng's handwriting,a line from Amel's model essay and the PSLE math invigilator who looked like Shin Yi ect.??
And Ngeepoo(who remembers how to recite cats sleep everywhere), we love you being organizer!Don't retire so early, at least not till our 10th anniversary of graduation in 2009!of coz we'll all take turns and help out.

hey guys! how's life? this blog has been pretty stagnant huh? hmm some updates...i'm currently living in NTU hall 16...very happy with this allocation cos it's the newest hall and has air-con,hot water and lifts! whahaha...but i still miss home la ;( anyway,sch has started...the usual routine la,lectures and tutorials...but i can't stand those PRC tutors! completely screwing up my tutorial sessions :( hope i'll have better luck next sem ;) anyway,i'm attending lectures with yuling cos we're in the same course and it's really great cos we've come like full circle fr primary sch to uni! haha...fate. anyway,she damn busy la got training every nite -______- haha anyway good luck for ur upcoming comps k girl! dun worry will fill u in on lects :)

Wah hey! Sorry my mistake about Bun coming back on 17th June...Haha..misled everyone...then we'll have another outing in July so Bun can come! Lol..
I'm looking forward to the outing too!Just before school activities like orientation camps start..Good break from bleah and boring work..I'm so envious of you lor yuling! At least u get to see nice seas and beaches everyday..I only get to see grumpy patients all day lor..(I'm working at sgh and no, i'm not selling drugs=) )
Argh Ting!What did you do to your hair?The last time I saw you with very very short hair was in pri school man..I remember our sluicies grp all had short hair. And dunno who keep calling me triangle-ho-head. Yup, some things just never change. Like Ant being perpetually botak. Haha..Or many of us being random.
Btw Ting, all french movies ARE weird. There's this one called Love me if you dare. I heard the story and its super weird. Speaking of weird shows, i remember there was one I saw about some japanese grl with a human hand that grew out of her head. And that hand has teeth and eyes. The hand claims to be the jap girl's sister. How weird is that??
The turn out for the outing seems to be ok...more than enough pple for a soccer team haha..
Speaking of soccer, although i didnt order the ch 27, i agar know what's happening in world cup. Owen sprained his leg! England is so dead lor..haiyah..

hello people!!! 's been ages since i entered an. erm. entry? here. hehehe. my finals are OVER! yayy! end of first year..FINALLY. grrr. been a gruelling month for me. even more so because i've been slacking away most of the year..urgh. haha.

and now i'm supposed to be having my holidays now. but you know lah. first yrs..very kiasu one. haha. i'm staying back for another month and a half for a summer project. which is SO boring cos i couldnt get the one of my choice cos "priority is given to the upper years". wadever :( so i'm stuck with this: "perception of risk in patients with respect to cardiovascular drugs." BORING!!! and thats not the worst. the worst is having to interview 400-500 patients! oh wells. at least it'll help with my communication skills. OH and it pays well. -wide grin- £170 a week. which is like. $540 a week. woohoo! am thinking of saving up to get a piano here..but pianos here are like sooo expensive..so i guess i'll just have to put the continuing my music education goal on hold first until i make enough. hee. gonna work work work back in sg.

speaking of sg..i'll be back on the 17th! of july, that is. can we please please please have a meeting then please? will everyone have started uni then? if not...i really really really wanna meet the jays. been too long! sluicies too! i met up with hope in london during my easter hols, and wooooo. hopey..has matured lots! :) not as giggly. i mean. u werent very giggly in the past as well lah. but u noe. less. hahahaha. if you know what i mean. had lotsa fun with hopey too! she drank this soup thingie and me drank a cranberry thingie under a very hot lightpost. haha. and then shopped around in zara. too bad we only met up for such a short time because i was only in london for a short while and my friends had planned sooo many activities so couldnt really spend as much time as i had hoped to with hope. but time aside, it was a great reunion. :) was refreshing to see a close friend all the way here in london. :)

emmm. ok. so hmmm. lemme think if theres anything new in my life...ehhhhh. erm. no. haha. nothing. my life's quite boring. aside from the occasional drinking and partying and the mugging like hell. (which i dont do now! just in case you guys are like. wth? studying after exams?hehe.), there's nothing much u can do here in edinburgh. haha. things are way too expensive..and yea. the pace is kinda slow. shopping's fun but u cant expect to do that all the time. cos it gets pretty boring too. but u can take nice strolls in the evening..we have lots of greenery. actually come to think of it, i think edinburgh has a balanced like industralised and countryside erm. balance. much much much more relaxing than london in my opinion..:) but london's cool. hahaha.

Hullo peeps!
Well, someone has to keep the ball rolling...So I shall do the honours. England is cold and rainy. I've been sightseeing and shopping around quite a bit, esp London. London is nice la, great architecture, friendly people, great shoppping, but nothing beats spore though...Cos we have the kiasu pple, the singlish, the mrts, the hdb, the wonderful food...
The other day I went to this london mini restaurant opened by this singaporean guy. Which serves spore food...Waaaahhhh...So nostalgic...What more there were sporeans among the koreans and japanese. It's like, once they open their mouths, you immediately know they are Singaporeans. And all the English pple have such high opinions about Spore! They describe it as a "nice, clean, beautiful country". Emphasis on the word "clean". Well, i understand why cos you can't find a dustbin in england when u need it.
Crapping aside, I met bun aka boon wee! She came down to London for easter holidays...Great to see an old friend...And how strange for it to be in a foreign country of all places...
I'm coming back sometime this month, hope to see you guys soon!

Third win on the trot for Yu Ling

Singapore national fencer Tay Yu Ling has had a run of good form in the past three weeks that has seen her win the same number of competitions - all in different countries.

She triumphed in the individual women's foil events at the Australia Under-20s tournament in Melbourne (Jan 17-20), the Commonwealth Junior Championships in Indian (Jan 24-29) and the Fencing Singapore Challenge last Saturday.

On top of that, the 18-year-old, who has been in the national team since 2002, was also a team gold winner in the competitions in Australia and India.

She said her performance in last year's South-east Asia Games in Manila had helped her to achiver her current fine form. She was a key player in Singapore's victory in the women's foil team event at the SEA Games, the first for the Republic since 1989.

"The SEA Games was a big confidence-booster for me," she said yesterday. "Even though I didn't compete in the individual event because my training had been affected by my preparation for the A-level exams, I felt that I fenced very well in the team event.

"I had a three-week break after the SEA Games in December and began training again only at the start of the year, so it was a bit of a surprise for me that I have performed so well. It has been an unbelievable three weeks.

"I am very thankful to my parents, teammates and coach for their support."

She is currently second, behind Ruth Ng, in the national rankings.

In Australia, she beat compatriot Cheryl Wong 15-9 in the final after defeating Ng 15-14 in the semi-finals. In India, she prevailed over England's Ciel Mepstead by a score of 12-11 to take the gold.

She again beat Ng by one point in a closely fought final at Saturday's Challenge event, the first major competition on the local fencing calendar.

Tay, who is waiting for her A-level results, said that her goal at the start of the year, which was to be selected for the Asian Games in Doha in December, remains unchanged.

This year's Challenge was the largest ever, with a record 182 participants representing 18 schools and five clubs taking part.

I saw miss siow just two or three days ago, in eunos. haha....and she still remembers my name ! How sweet. She said that she can remember most of the jays, but when pupils from more recent batches come up to her, their names slip her mind. haha. How memorable we are. XD

Quite startling to see how visibly her face has aged....she looks less sprightly than she used to seem. Or at least that was my impression It's strange that although it seems so normal how we have all grown up from toddling on the edge of puberty, to tottering on the cusp of adulthood, one's mental images of the teachers' appearances are still youthfully preserved at the p sch years.

And she also said that mbs needs relief teachers, so i guess if anyone wants to be a relief teacher, can go find her.

Oh well.

Yo peeps! Happy new year to all of u! Hope u had a great time with family and had lots of ang paos! I noe we were supposed to have a gathering tonight...but since many of us cant make it due to still having to bainian, i have decided to post phone it. yup..so will the ns guys let us noe when will u all be free? Its prob next sat cos i noe u guys got bmt or something on 4th. And fridays or saturdays are good cos those working will be off and those schooling will have holiday. Sounds good eh? Pls pick dates u will be free and post it in the tagboard so i can choose the best date for all of us. Either 10, 11, 17 or 18th feb. Bear in mind that they may or may not be full day events depending on when u guys can make it.
Ok, serious stuff aside, cny has been not bad this yr...except i lost quite alot of money in gambling..dun ask how much..i'm feeling quite broke despite the ang paos..=( but on the bright side, i've learnt to play mahjong! not very good but passsable i think. Yup, those who dunno how to play go and learn! Then we can set up a jays gambling den somewhere...And play when we are all old grandmas and grandpas... Gee yuling, that was kinda cool...I didnt know mbs changed so much. I tot only the pagoda was removed...We shld all go back visit some day yeah? Find miss siow and gather together in the classroom with the broken roof...Its been since...Sec 1 I went to mbs? Miss the place..Duno which teachers are still there.. That day I was driving pass the place during driving lesoon, I felt pretty warm inside=)
I still remember loads of stuff... The library( remember the miss soh "the library"?) , the chicken coop, the dental room( wah lao, i hated that place..i rmember i extracted 7 teeth there), the big coy pond with the swastica, the canteen area next to field where we used to have ice fights...Yup and that big parade square where we used to have netball matches(which i nv took part, always sit by the side) and played dumb games like lao ying zuo xiao ji and pepsi cola(just a thought, y pepsi ah?not coca cola?). And not to forget "dun pin li xue" the school motto.
Ant, it was ur bday? haha happy bday...Actually, i dun think he noes of the blog. and also many jays are unaware of this blog..we shld try spread the word la...that day i met wanzhen on the street she didnt noe got such thing haha.
I'm thinking maybe can arrange an outing during the long cny period...i heard the guys got 5 or 7 days off. That's if everyone is willing la...feedback please=) and any ideas where to go? spore is sooo small...

I just paid a visit to MBS..the first time in a v.v.v long time..
and i must capture this piece of sentiment..

Actually, i went there for this hanyu pinyin class for parents..coz my bro is in pri 1
and my mum cln't make it and she woke me up and asked me to attend..

So i went, through the green gates, passing by this tent with seats, which is actually a waiting
area for parents and students..and there were quite a few parents there too!One reading a newspaper.Next i passed the security box office with this lady security guard.(Visitors must now report before gg into the sch)She pointed to a sign giving directions to the AV theater..if you still remember where it is..Ya, I just had to walk through the narrow green gate and there the AV theater was..first door on the right.
I was a bit late and the talk had alrdy started.So i climbed up the steps,up to 3 quarters and took a seat and enjoyed looking at the parents turn students, being taught b p m f d t n l, g k h
q j x, zh ch sh r, z c s a o e ie ao ou an ang en eng ....if you can remember..There were breaks in btw and the teacher led the "class" to do stretches;neck rotation,shoulder raises etc. hehe.Then there was even 抢答比赛　and prizes were awarded=) It's an experience seeing the parents raising their hands, going up to the front and writing hanyu pinyin, together with the intonations, making mistakes, with the other parents shouting out the correct ans and the teacher providing guidance and encouragement.

Remember remember? gosh i can't believe it either, nv learnt so much abt hanyu pinyin since pri3.The chi syllabus has really changed a lot now;they start with pinyin first b4 learning words.

After the talk i went walking arnd, time kinda stopped, and i think i was walking super slowly,and on the walls, there were those idoms and sayings which carry such deep meaning writen in calligraphy.like 今日事、今日毕，舍己为人，一想二干三成功，一等二靠三落空 etc

Do you know, there's even a dinosaur sanctuary along the corridor beside the canteen, and an Einstein Corner below the staircase outside the bkshop. I learnt sth.
Here's some stuff 　"I bet you can't". Like sitting up with your back straight against a chair and trying to stand up, or bending down and holding your toes and tring to leap fwd. So these e.g.s illustrate gravity and cg. cool huh.

Oh,and now MBS has a sch vision-- inspired learner, vibrant school.
and a sch mission-- to develop mind body and soul for the pursuit of excellence in a vibrant environment. haha. and school values　正直、卓越、尊重、关怀、热诚、毅力。Integrity,excellence,respect, care, passion,perseverance. of coz, there's 敦品励学
You can imagine how slowly i was walking, absorbing every single thing arnd me.=)

And yes..we now have a chinese orchestra..and CO music was playing in the background..ok more like practice music.and the lion dance class had just ended at the parade sq..

Hiya! this is actually my 3rd time blogging but for some reason, my entries always get lost on the way...i'm so poor thing lor... ok firstly, happy new year to all! yup, i since i'm such a lazy person, i shall therefore re-post my last entry, in hope it is not wasted=)

3) It was predicted that the end of the world was to happen in late 1999 around the period we would be having psle. it's 2006 in like 23.5 hrs..any last minute reflections?
I wish for world peace, that people will realise that hostility never got anyone anywhere,
that is why the courts are like the last place on earth you would want to settle disputes; because it's
void of feelings in there and people leave unhappy.
Then there's the Bush adminstration and rebels; Is the bush adminstration still trying to force a
set of ideals or system of management without consultation with the people? Are the insurgents ready
to put down their weapons and not be too quick to condemn? I think maybe this "Bush versus insurgents"
scenerio is present throughout society.
ok, haha,now.. i sound disturbed. Truthfully, ya, before. I draw the parallels to my sport. People are too blind for
their own good, ha even adults or seemingly normal people. Now that is what i call a handicap.

But not now, that's why i can type all this at ease. The new year is coming! Let there be no burdens, only
love and love and joy, laughter. We just have to
1)speak kindly
2)think kindly
3)act kindly.
